A great project for beginners or those new to sewing. This pattern became an immediate bestseller when released in 1952. Re-released recently, the “walk-away” dress became an instant online sensation, and featured on the Great British Sewing Bee.

BEGINNERS LEVEL 1 is a two-week course held on consecutive Saturdays (9am to 3pm).
Start your sewing journey here, with all the basics: this class introduces the functions of the machine (and how to troubleshoot), needles and stitches, sewing techniques, and how to lay out a pattern, to create a simple garment.
BEGINNERS LEVEL 2 is a two-week course held on consecutive Saturdays (9am to 3pm).
Develop your sewing knowledge, and, using a commercial pattern, learn skills such as inserting invisible zippers, finishing raw edges, sewing skirt waistbands, facings, darts, buttonholes, sleeves, and adjusting the length of a pattern.
